From our workshop

Every block, pressed by hand, in Jaipur

Each dohar begins as plain cotton voile, stretched taut across a low wooden table. Carved teak blocks — some decades old — are dipped in natural dye and pressed one motif at a time, by artisans who've worked this craft for generations.

No two pieces print identically. The small shifts in registration and colour are not flaws to correct, but the signature of a textile made by hand rather than machine.

Our Story

The art of weaving, mastered

Weaving is the process of interlacing fiber threads to make textiles. It is a remarkable craft which utilizes wooden tools such as looms, frames, and shuttles.
